Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Snail-Mail Trading

If I'm breaching forum etiquette with this post, please forgive me. I'm looking to trade unofficially released Grateful Dead shows by snail mail. I have over 1000 hours of high-quality lossless digital soundboard and audience recordings. I also have a short list of shows I've been seeking for many years but have yet been unable to find, and so I'm hoping some of you forum readers and contributors might be able to help out. I am of course eager to return the favor: if any of you is seeking a show, I'll be happy to send you a lossless copy of it if I have it.

I'm unable to download from and upload to torrent sites because I do not control the router I'm using, and so I can't perform the necessary port-forwarding. I'd really like to get back to some dedicated one-on-one trading. Happy to share contact information with any serious and interested Dead Heads. Let's get in touch through this or any other appropriate forum.

Peace to all,
deadhead66

P.S.: Near the top of my wish list is the audience recording from Soldiers' and Sailors', Kansas City, KS 12/10/79.

http://db.etree.org/shninfo_detail.php?shnid=77331 click on show owners and a new box will show up with a listing of people from a-z who have this show.look for owners who are presently active in trading, they will be highlighted.click on the owners name and it will open up the owner show list, click on contact and it will list the owner e mail and send a e mail, and then wait.try a few folks and hopefully someone will contact you.good luck.you really should consider bit torrent because a front of the board version of this show has been seeded at torrent sites.

Do you have a list at etree?

It helps to have your list there. Takes no time at all to set up. Many folks there trade via the post. If you get the list set up, post the link here ...

Thanks for the link Arbuth. I have begun working on posting my list. A task which has been too long undone.

Sorry...I can't help with the aud you are looking for (all I have is the 3371 sbd file set from that night) but if there's anything else you're looking for, let me know and I'll check to see if I have it.

Thanks to those who posted replies for your gracious and helpful suggestions. I welcome further replies -- especially those in which contributors can point me to other trading locales. Thanks again.

Best to all,
